**Job Summary**

We are seeking a talented UI designer to join our team. From conceptualization to final delivery, you will utilize your expertise in service, interaction and visual design to create seamless digital solutions. Your responsibilities will include leading design activities independently, mentoring junior designers, and actively contributing to our global design community. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in client interactions, offering strategic insights and leading project teams to success. This role provides ample opportunities for professional growth, including the ability to manage a small team on projects and participate in Business development activities by creating proposals and giving presentations.

**Position**: UI/UX Designer

**Location**: Melbourne, VIC Australia

**Employment type**:

- 3 months Contract

**Years of experience**:

- Minimum 2 years of experience in Digital Products.

**Responsibilities**:

- You will be in charge of designing digitally enabled products and services while working on end-to-end design solutions.
- Plan and manage design research activities (market analysis, ethnographic, quantitative, qualitative) collaboratively with the project team and know when to use these tools
- Plan and execute customer journeys, insights, user maps, and other models
- Analyse research data identifying and generating meaningful insights and behavioural patterns
- Create and facilitate workshops with diverse groups of clients and stakeholders
- Define and structure deliverables consistent with project goals
- Create presentations and design strategic documentation
- Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to drive product strategy and development roadmaps
- Work collaboratively with your multi-skilled teammates

**Key skills**:

- Passionate about user centered design, adept at solving complex experience challenges.
- Proficient in translating the research findings into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Demonstrable skills in user research, user journeys, wireframes, prototyping and interaction design
- Outstanding portfolio demonstrating design strategy, processes and problem-solving approach
- A desire to ‘own’ a product from content strategy to specific micro-interactions
- Skilled in leading in person and hybrid workshops, usability testing and training sessions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with different audiences from entry level to executive
- Interested in storytelling and comfortable with public speaking
- Comprehensive attention to detail
- Deep understanding of digital design best practices including iOS and Android accessibility and design patterns
- Ability to understand the impact of technology on design deliverables

**Qualification**:Bachelor’s degree or course in design, UX, HCI or related design discipline.

**Job Type**: Contract
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: $71,566.73 - $140,812.21 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)

Work Location: In person
