**About the role**
- Due to ongoing growth of our global smart transport business, we are seeking a Product Manager to join our Smart Transport team.- The Product Manager role is resposible for the vision, roadmap and execution strategy of the Smart Transport products within the NEC Smart Mobility Platform**Primary Accountability**
- The primary accountability of the Product Manager role is to design and build products and services that meet the requirements of NEC and its core customers and markets i.e., they are:
- Re-useable / able to be leveraged
- Cost Competitive
- Feature Competitive
- Profitable

**Key Accountabilities**
- Understand customer needs and validate that the products and/or services that the Product Manager is responsible for meet those requirements
- Contribute to the development and communication of the product vision and roadmap, and participate in future product planning
- Understand the Technology Vision and roadmap and ensure that the products/services in the product catalogue will support the agreed IT Portfolios and Solutions
- Regularly assess the relevance of products and services against agreed metrics (determined in conjunction with the National Manager Product Management) and standard processes and frameworks (as supported by Solutions Operations) to make informed decisions on product life cycle management - extend, retire etc.
- Ensure that all collateral is current and complete for a designated product set
- Ensure that critical interdependencies between Product and Solution Management, and Solution Architecture / Engineering are understood and enabled
- Define releases and program increments
- Participate in demos to Learn and Adapt

**Key Skills and Experience**
- Professional work experience and skills relevant to the position:

- 5+ years in a Product Management role in an IT environment
- Proven ability to take a product (or service) offering to market, with successful outcomes
- Experience producing positive outcomes in a matrix based environment where collaboration is key
- Strong understanding of Product Management principles, including knowledge of the touch points and check points across the business, and all of the necessary components required to take something to market
- Strong understand of, and alignment with, regulatory and compliance requirements
- Can work to robust processes and structures, and call out where these are not being followed
- Solid communicator - good presentation skills with the ability to articulate and sell ideas
