**A bit about the role**

Join our Open Space Management team in the newly redesigned role and support the delivery of Open Space contracted services and other aligned programmed maintenance contracts.

You will work closely with contractors, in line with Council’s Policy’s to ensure best practice and safety standards are met and provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers.

**What you will do**
- Inspect, monitor, assess contractor operations regarding performance of service provision, OH&S and environmental compliance via auditing
- Conduct asset handover inspections and provide feedback
- Assist in the preparation of budgeting requirements of Open Space services within Council for all nominated contracts
- Ensure that all Open Space requests are logged and responded to efficiently
- Assist in the review of existing and future Open Space and related contracts
- Arrange contractor and stakeholder meetings ensuring actions are completed by the relevant parties
- As directed, deliver open space projects, including minor project works, ensuring all works are completed to a high standard in line with budgets and timelines
- Whilst delivering open space projects, monitor productivity and quality of work and work in consultation with internal and external stakeholders, including the community
- Assist and offer advice in Open Space designs and special projects

**What you will bring**
- Qualifications in contract and project management
- Sound verbal and written skills, including the ability to draft basic reports and correspondence
- Proven computer literacy and experience in Microsoft suite of programs, in particular Microsoft Office Word and Excel
- Experience with Technology One and Objective (highly regarded)
- Demonstrated knowledge of contract and project management and the ability to manage minor works projects in-line with timelines and budgets
- Demonstrated knowledge of managing contractors with a good understanding of OHS policies and procedures
- A continuous improvement mindset with a positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
