A bit about the role


As a Technical Officer within our City Operations Directorate, you will work flexibly across Asset Rehabilitation and Consents & Permits team as required by the Coordinator.


You will coordinate the administration and technical support for the Section, as well as manage activities required by Wyndham's Road Management Plan.

The role is responsible for delivery of quality and efficient customer service.

What you'll do

  • Conduct fieldbased activities including path audits, Asset Protection, monitoring Asset Rehabilitation recurrent works programs, inspections for Consents and Permits and other activities as required.
  • Provide friendly and courteous customer service, responding to technical enquiries in accordance with established processes and procedures.
  • Provide quality technical advice as required.
  • Undertake accurate record keeping using various manual and computer systems

What you'll bring

  • Welldeveloped written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to liaise, discuss and resolve problems with customers
  • Completed or undertaking a relevant postsecondary civil engineering qualification
  • Experience in conducting and documenting site inspections
  • Experience in reading civil engineering plans (desirable)
  • Current Victorian Driver's License
  • A continuous improvement mindset with a positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
