**About Molecular Cancer Epidemiology Laboratory**:
**Role Purpose / Responsibilities**

In this role, you will be required to:

- Support the BRCA1/2 Variant Curation Expert Panel (VCEP) team to manage priorities and deadlines and deliver milestones in a timely manner;
- Prepare, collect and distribute information to inform variant curation, including liaising with VCEP team members and wider collaborative networks, curating and coding information from the literature and public databases
- Biocurate individual variants, for entry into the ClinGen Variant Curation interface, following strict protocols
- Assist with research and reporting activities, including interactions with relevant national and international programs.

**About You**

To be successful in this role you will need:

- Experience working with genomic sequence and RNA assay data, including annotation, interpretation and coding of results.
- A high level of organisation with meticulous attention to detail
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Evidence of independent judgement, initiative, and problem-solving skills
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in science, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint, and Endnote

**Remuneration**: Salary range will start at RA4 which is $82,369 p.a. through to RO1 which is $88,849 p.a. plus super and salary packaging. This is a full time, fixed term position for 1.5 years, and will be Brisbane-based.
