**About the Corporate Affairs and Fundraising Team**:
The Corporate Affairs and Fundraising (CAF) team is responsible for positioning, promoting and protecting QIMR Berghofer, as well as raising vital funding through philanthropic endeavours, corporate partnerships and community engagement to support the remarkable life-saving work of the Institute's researchers. The CAF team is focused on delivering high quality media, marketing, government relations, community engagement, communications, events, fundraising and philanthropy activities, aligned to the Institute's strategic objectives.

**Role Purpose / Responsibilities**:
As the Social Media and Digital Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for, but not limited to;
- Developing and delivering innovative social media content to promote the Institute's brand, raise community awareness of its achievements and celebrate the success of its people;
- Developing industry-leading digital approaches to raising the brand profile, supporting fundraising objectives and events and assisting promotion of research activities;
- Proactively write, edit and update marketing and communications material for multiple platforms;
- In collaboration with the wider content delivery team, optimise and coordinate the scheduling of digital collateral including graphics, photos, videos and podcasts for distribution on the Institute's social media and digital platforms;
- Monitoring campaign performance and undertaking message testing to deliver best performance and value.

**About you**:
To be successful in this role, you will have:

- A passion for both written and visual storytelling, strong news judgement and an ability to work to tight deadlines;
- Tertiary qualifications in marketing, journalism, communications, media, or other relevant degree or equivalent experience;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor content to a specific audience as well as experience in developing and implementing engagement and social media follower acquisition;
- Experience in video journalism is desirable;
- Advanced technical and strategic ability implementing successful sponsored social media campaigns;
- A high level of computer literacy and ability to use a range of computer software packages including content management systems, social media management and marketing systems, electronic direct mail services and analytical software;
- Extremely organised and detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment;
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and work with limited supervision.

**Remuneration**:The salary range is $95,486 to $103,882 per annum plus superannuation and attractive salary packaging. This is a full-time, fixed term position for three years.
