We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Planning Development Officer to join our team. As a Planning Development Officer, you will play a key role in the planning and execution of our development projects. You will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that projects are implemented efficiently and effectively, in line with Council’s goals and objectives.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Development Services Team as a Planning Development Officer.

**Key responsibilities of the position include**:

- Ensure Council meets statutory obligations under the Planning, Development & Infrastructure Act and other related legislation.
- Provide consistent, timely and accurate advice and recommendations on development control and land use matters.
- Provide consistent and accurate advice to members of the public, other council staff, statutory bodies and other interested parties on development control, zoning, land use and Council policy.

**The successful applicant will have**:

- A degree in Urban and Regional Planning or related discipline.
- Experience in a development assessment planning position in a large, complex and diverse organisation.
- Knowledge of the development control processes under the PDI Act.
- Knowledge of the PDI Act and related legislation, Planning and Development Code, SA Planning Portal.

This role is being offered between a Level 4 and Level 5 ($91,772 - $105,336 per annum plus superannuation), dependant on the successful applicant’s degree of experience, skills and knowledge.
