Planning Officer-port Phillip

Lead the delivery of high-quality forest planning for Port Phillip Region. They coordinate a range of internal and external stakeholders across a suite of forest planning services focused on protecting forest values while delivering on ground works program planning. They also develop and update planning systems and databases to meet departmental planning requirements.
The Planning Officer is part of Values and Assets Planning, within the Port Phillip Regional Forest and Fire Planning Team. The team is critical to enabling the Department to respond to legislative and community expectations to care for, and effectively manage our forests.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- An appropriate tertiary qualification related to natural resource management and/or relevant experience is desirable.
- Knowledge and experience in the use of computer programs including ArcGIS is desirable.
This is a fixed term position available for a period until 30 June 2024. The work location for this position is flexible within Port Phillip Region with hybrid work arrangements available.
