**About The Team**

This role sits within our Information Management Team (IMT) which works to contribute to the achievement of Council's vision and corporate goals by supporting the development and implementation of key IT strategies, policies and procedures for all IT systems. The Information Management team are one area of the overall IMT team and are responsible for Records management, archives, website development, and Geographical Information Systems.

**About You**

We’re looking for someone who has had practical experience in information records management. You are someone who has knowledge and experience working in a busy records management environment, processing large volumes of records by operating an Electronic Document Management System (EDRMS) as well as undertaking its administration functions. You will also have experience with archival management, sentencing and disposal of records, undertaking document research and providing documentation for information requests. You are also someone who is committed to providing great service to both internal and external stakeholders.

Essential
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally as well as a high level of reading and comprehension of documents and correspondence.
- Demonstrated experience working in a records environment and expert use of an Electronic Document Management System.
- Demonstrated understanding of records management principles and practices.
- Demonstrated experience in archival procedures, processes and research, including sentencing, disposal and reference enquiries.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated high level customer service skills.
- Must be fully vaccinated (minimum 2 doses) with an approved COVID-19 vaccine and provide Council with evidence of vaccination, or an accepted certified medical contraindication. Council reserves the right to confirm the validity of contraindications in accordance with NSW Health guidelines, and to direct a Worker to undertake an independent medical examination in relation to the issuance of a medical contraindication certificate.

Desirable
- Understanding of the NSW State Records Act, Australian/International Standard ISO15489 and GA39 classification scheme for local government or Local Government Thesaurus, or willingness to acquire same.
- Ability to conduct one-on-one training.
- Previous experience and/or understanding of Local Government functions.
- Previous experience in the use of “Content Manager” Records Management System.
