Georges River Council is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Biosecurity Weeds Officer to join our dynamic and busy Parks and Recreation team - City Technical Services.
- Temporary term till end of June 2025
- Part time - 21 hours per week, 3 days a week
- Salary from $65,832.05 - $76,276.87 per annum plus 11% superannuation (pro rata)

**Selection Criteria**

**Qualifications, Certificates & Licences**
- Hold a Certificate in Conservation & Land Management, Bush Regeneration, Horticulture (or equivalent).
- Class 1A Drivers Licence.
- Successful completion of Legal Training for Weeds Officers - Stage 3 (or willingness to undertake post recruitment).

**Essential**
- Experience in dealing with a wide variety of stakeholders utilising excellent communication and written skills.
- An understanding of the requirements of the Biosecurity Act 2015 (NSW.)
- Ability to work without direct supervision.
- Capacity to plan, priortise and organise programs and work schedules.
- Demonstrated experience and current knowledge of identification of weeds, weed control strategy and integrated weed Management techniques.
- Understanding of and commitment to WHS practices and EEO principles.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service.
