This role sits within our Information Management Team (IMT) which works to contribute to the achievement of Council's vision and corporate goals by supporting the development and implementation of key IT strategies, policies and procedures for all IT systems. The IMT team's key functions cover website development, communication networks (voice and data), programme development, corporate software solutions, records management, geographic information system (GIS) and general systems operations.

**About the Opportunity**

Georges River Council is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Spatial Insight Officer who has had practical experience in spatial/geographical information systems. As the Spatial Insight Officer, you are someone who has demonstrated knowledge and experience with management of cadastral data, land titling issues and addressing. You are also someone who is committed to providing great service to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Permanent, Full-Time - 70 hours per fortnight
- Salary from $75,395.80 - $87,357.41 per annum plus 10.5% superannuation

**What We're Looking for**:
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications
- Practical experience in spatial/geographical information systems.
- Practical experience with relational databases and SQL.
- Knowledge and experience with management of cadastral data, land titling issues, addressing, and NSW planning legislation.
- Willingness and ability to learn new technology and software.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and commitment to customer service resulting in continuous improvements and positive change.
- Excellent time management and task prioritisation skills.
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field.
- Previous experience in a Local Government desirable
