**About the Company**

The Department of Communities and Justice delivers legal, court and supervision services to the people of NSW by managing courts and justice services, implementing programs to reduce crime and re offending, managing custodial and community-based correctional services, protecting rights and community standards, and advising on law reform and legal matters.

Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) delivers professional correctional services and programs to reduce the risk of re-offending and enhance public safety. It serves a key function of the NSW Communities and Justice Sector by providing effective, safe and humane management of offenders both in custody and in the community CSNSW also works in partnership with other government and community agencies to ensure that offenders and their families are supported.

**About the role**

Reporting directly to the Senior Project Officer, the Project Officer role will undertake project management and support activities for a range of projects relevant to Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) Programs.

This role will also assist the Senior Project officer in a range of administrative functions, including the provision of information and advice to various committees and stakeholders that monitor the identification and management of offenders of interest under the Criminal Code Amendment (_High Risk Terrorist Offenders) _Act 2016 and the Terrorism (_High Risk Offenders) _Act 2017. This role will work as part of a broader multidisciplinary team.

You will provide a range of project management and support services, including preparation of reports and briefs, coordinating resources, maintaining project documentation, and implementing and monitoring project plans, to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time
