**A little bit about us**

The Road & Vehicle Safety (RVS) Division aims to improve road safety and reduce road trauma for all Australians. The division has four main functions: setting the policy direction for road safety through the National Road Safety Strategy 2021-30 and National Road Safety Action Plan 2023-25; delivering targeted road safety programs; developing and maintaining legislation including the Road Vehicle Standards Act (RVSA), and other legislative instruments and vehicle standards; and regulating the first provision of vehicles in the Australian market including vehicle certification, imports, enforcement and vehicle recalls.

**What will you do?**

As a team member you will be responsible for supporting a variety of functions. This work includes:
- assisting the FAS by: attending daily/regular meetings to relay information; coordinating FAS clearance material and documents; monitoring timeframes, etc;-
- managing internal and external requests for information through the coordination, collection, follow-up and compilation of briefing and input from across all RVS branches;-
- undertaking coordination activities associated with people and performance, recruitment, on-boarding, accommodation etc;-
- having accountability for tasks and decisions and providing support to less experienced employees through the provision of guidance and quality assurance;-
- processing invoices and vendor management, creating purchase orders and providing support for procurement activities;-
- assisting with the management of administered and departmental budgets and expenditure;-
- participating in meetings, sharing information and providing input on relevant issues;-
- working collaboratively with all staff to ensure the delivery of professional, high quality and timely responses to requests for information;-
- offering support to divisional and branch EAs and other members of RVS.**What else can we offer?**- Exposure to high profile and exciting projects-

The person we are looking for will be able to demonstrate:
- Previous or current experience working with limited direction to deliver priorities, including overseeing input and monitoring work flow to meet deadlines;-
- The ability to provide clear and concise communication skills, using judgement and discretion in the preparation and delivery of information;-
- The ability to develop and maintain the Division’s administered and departmental budget and expenditure;-
- Self-motivation, confidence and the ability to manage time effectively to meet challenging targets and deadlines;-
- Organised workload management skills, including the ability to adapt to changing demands, and reprioritisation of work as necessary;-
- The ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of accuracy, quality and attention to detail;-
- Well-developed skills in engaging with staff at all levels; and-
