We are seeking expressions of interest from qualified and experienced Environmental Health Officers. If you are passionate about making a difference in the community and are interested in being part of an innovative and focussed team who provide a range of high quality, customer focussed and targeted services throughout South Gippsland then this is the role for you.

As an Environmental Health Officer you will be involved in:

- Conducting inspections and investigations
- Undertaking food, water, and other sampling programs
- Investigating and acting on various nuisance, infectious disease outbreaks, food recalls and food complaints
- Registration of premises and maintenance of appropriate standards
- Promoting a high standard of public health through education and public health programs
- Preparing written reports, notices and legal briefs relating to Public Health
- Preferably you will have a Degree in Applied Science (Environmental Health) or equivalent and demonstrated experience in the health services field.
- You will have experience or knowledge of specific environmental, public health, local government and related legislation, policies, and codes of practice.
- You will also understand how rural, urban and coastal, industrial and commercial developments relate to health matters.
- You pride yourself on your well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal and have great problem-solving skills.
