**ABOUT THE ROLE**:

- Full Time Ongoing
- $88,767.63 per annum + 11% superannuation

As our next Community Strengthening Officer, you'll play a vital role in fostering partnerships, encouraging participation, and enhancing community engagement. In this dynamic role, you will be the driving force behind collaborative community initiatives, including:

- Supporting the development and implantation of Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan, Access and Inclusion Plan and individual Community Plans.
- Facilitate networks of communities, agencies and organisations to meet regularly to consider collaborative projects and information sharing.
- Develop and facilitate skills development opportunities for community volunteers, community organisations and Community Plan project teams.
- Support community efforts to improve the physical and cultural environment of the Shire in collaboration with Council.
- Providing a communication link between the community and Council on proposed community projects.

**ABOUT YOU**:
We're seeking a vibrant individual who thrives on people-centered initiatives.

Your enthusiasm for connecting with various sectors of the community shines through, making you a natural collaborator. With a knack for community consultation, you will have well developed verbal and written communications skills, excellent customer service skills, time management and presentation skills.

You will have Year 12 education or equivalent, and significant experience in a Community Development or Community Capacity Building role or similar. Qualifications in Community Development/Community Services or similar would be an advantage. An understanding of the role of government in supporting community activity, and experience in supporting community-based organisations to develop, plan and achieve their goals is beneficial but not essential.
