**THE ROLE**
The Project Support Officer role in the Aboriginal Strategy Unit will provide project, program, policy and secretariat support to implement key aspects of _Dhelk Dja; Safe our Way - Strong Cultures, Strong Peoples, Strong Families_ and support its associated governance structures including the Dhelk Dja Partnership Forum and Sub Groups.
The Project Support Officer is required to perform important project management, logístical and administrative functions to ensure that projects and funding aligned to _Dhelk Dja_ are implemented in a timely matter that reflects Aboriginal community priorities. The role also supports building strong relationships across Aboriginal communities, Aboriginal services, Family Safety Victoria, Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH) and other government departments to support outcomes in line with _Dhelk Dja._
**ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE**
- Provide project support for a number of projects, programs and consultation processes aligned to _Dhelk Dja:_ Safe our Way - Strong Cultures, Strong Peoples, Strong Families_ 10 Year Family Violence Agreement and its 3 Year Action Plans.
- Maintain close liaison and effective relationships with Aboriginal community, community service organisations and Government stakeholders.
- Support logístical and administrative tasks including venue and accommodation bookings and catering related to the Dhelk Dja Partnership Forum and its related governance structures.
