**About the team**

This role sits in the Safety, Environment and Regulation Division within the Security, Crisis and Emergency Management (SCEM) branch. SCEM’s main purpose and responsibility is to protect Transport for NSW, our people, our customers, our assets and the continued delivery of essential services for the people of NSW. SCEM aligns to the Safety, Environment and Regulation responsibility for connecting lives through safe, reliable and sustainable transport solutions.

**The opportunity**

We currently have an exciting, fixed term opportunity (up until 30/06/2024) for a Business Operations Coordinator to join the SCEM Branch overseeing and managing the day-to-day business of the Transport Emergency Crisis Coordination Hub.

Liaising with multiple stakeholders and government agencies and reporting to the Director SCEM Operations, the role will work across and liaise with the emergency management team and the broader business to provide operational responses and high-level reporting by monitoring, reporting and escalation of risks and hazards such as floods, bushfires, cyber etc.

As Business Operations Coordinator you will be required to:

- Prepare information content for the program of work including communication, briefings, correspondence and documentation.
- Assist in business operational readiness on an ongoing basis by liaising with various internal and external stakeholders, supporting the team in their deliverables as required.
- Deliver assigned projects and ensure completion within required timeframes, quality standards and at or below budget.
- Prepare and deliver reports on the status of projects and programs ensuring compliance with reporting methodologies, deadlines and timelines.
- Create and maintain files and documents in accordance with records management procedures, to enable efficient retrieval of information as required and archive project files accordingly to maintain efficient retrieval at short notice.
- Develop and identify methods to gather statistics and information, both quantitative and qualitative, and maintain organisational records management systems to ensure the integrity of data collected for analysis and reporting.
- Execute safety responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities consistent with safety management system requirements, plans and objectives.
- Proactively identify and manage risks, providing input into the development of risk management plans, establishment of risk controls and performance of risk mitigation activities.

**About you**
- You have appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated, relevant, equivalent professional experience in a similar role
- You will be a natural problem solver and have strong research and analytical skills and can critically suggest solutions.
- You work well in a team and autonomously, and have strong report writing skills, prioritisation and time management skills to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- You will have experience managing technical teams
- You will have highly developed strong written and verbal communication skills as stakeholder engagement and collaboration is critical.
- You will have a strong ability to build and maintain working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders across the wider Transport group as well as influencing and engaging effectively with stakeholders to procure required information.

**Salary and Benefits**

The salary for this position is Grade 8 $123,470 - $ 138,284 per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
