About the position:
As the Business Development Manager & Brand Ambassador, you will utilize your expertise in the food industry, hospitality, and retail sectors to cultivate relationships and promote our purpose-driven products to venues and retailers. Your responsibilities will include implementing strategic partner engagement, negotiating sales agreements, and leading ambassador initiatives to enhance brand visibility and product exposure. This role requires an entrepreneurial mindset with involvement in sales, ambassadorship, customer experience, relationship management, supply chain, and finance. Join our passionate start-up team striving to make a positive impact on the community while driving the success of our social enterprise on a national and global scale. This is a part-time role, three days per week, on a six-month fixed-term contract.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the food or retail industry, specifically in sales or business development teams
- Proven track record of success and the ability to proactively devise and implement sales strategies for partner acquisition and trade and retail engagement
- Outstanding communication and project management skills with meticulous attention to detail
- A positive 'can-do' attitude and readiness to work in a start-up setting that necessitates hands-on involvement
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and collaborative tools like Trello and Canva
