Working across Dispute Services and as part of the Strategic Operations team the Strategic Operations Officer will provide a range of administrative functions including financial transactions, asset management, record management and other governance and operational processes across the service.

The Department of Government Services (DGS) was established on 1 January 2023 to improve everyone's experience of doing business and interacting with the Victorian government. We bring important day-to-day services together in one department to make things easy and seamless for Victorians and businesses. We are doing this by connecting and digitising our systems and platforms across state and local government as well as streamlining our corporate and procurement services.

**About the role**

Working across Dispute Services and as part of the Strategic Operations team the Strategic Operations Officer will provide a range of administrative functions including financial transactions, asset management, record management and other governance and operational processes across the service.

Key accountabilities include:

- Working closely with the Strategic Operations team, provide operational and administrative support for the day-to-day functions of Dispute Services, utilising strong problem-solving skills and ability to take the initiative to deliver solutions-focused outcomes.
- Developing and maintaining professional relationships and provide advice and guidance to stakeholders on a broad range of operational matters in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
- Processing financial transactions and purchasing of goods and services for Dispute Services within departmental systems and in accordance with departmental purchasing and procurement policies.
- Supporting the content update of the Dispute Services intranet and contribute to the ongoing growth and maintenance ensuring all information is accurate as well as provide training and troubleshoot for users as required.

- Well-developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to present information clearly and concisely via effective verbal and written communication.
- Effective individual task management and ability to contribute positively to a team environment.
- Sound knowledge of the processes, policies, and procedures within government desirable.
