**Who are we looking for?**

We are seeking a Student Support Officer to join Office of the Deputy Dean, Faculty of Science, Academic Division.

The Student Support Officer provides specialist consultation services to students and assistance to the Student Support Coordinator and the broader team in supporting student administrative functions for the faculty at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The Student Support Officer is a front-line position and includes high level consultation with prospective students, current students, academic staff and other key stakeholders across the University and externally.

About the Faculty The Faculty of Science aims to explore the frontiers of our physical and digital worlds to drive innovation and develop solutions to complex, real-world challenges.
We deliver distinctive programs in Information Technology, Mathematics and Science to meet industry demands for data-driven and technological solutions. Strong connections and long-standing partnerships with governments and industry enable us to address complex challenges though learning, teaching, research, and innovation. We facilitate learning that is delivered on campus, online and in the real-world through relevant and practical learning experiences.
Our Schools are established around disciplines that promote collaboration in teaching and research. These include:

The Faculty is led by the Executive Dean and the Executive Management Team which includes the Deputy Dean, Associate Deans, Heads of School, and the Faculty Operations Manager..

**What you need to succeed**
- Education, training and/or experience equivalent to completion of a degree.
- Demonstrated ability to provide a high standard of professional, client service in a busy client-orientated environment including the ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and balance competing demands.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing needs.
- Good written and oral communication skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Interpersonal skills which demonstrate the ability to liaise effectively with and provide excellent service to a diverse range of people in a professional manner while maintaining confidentiality.
