**About the team**

Finance and Investment Division (FID) is a trusted advisor to the Transport cluster, and partners with our stakeholders to make all financial and funding considerations for our once-in-a-generation $72 billion infrastructure program.

We provide best in class financial services to support decision-making on transport services, infrastructure investment and delivery. FID plays a critical role in project planning and funding, enterprise planning and financial management and control.

The position sits within the Economics, Benefits and Evaluation team under a matrix reporting environment. Directly reporting to Manager Portfolio Benefits Coordination & Reporting, the position holder will work together with Director Economics Benefits and Evaluation, Senior Manager Economic Advisory and Senior Manager Benefit Realisation Management on a project basis.

**The opportunity**

Right now, we have an opportunity for a **Portfolio Benefits, Data & Coordination Analyst** to join Transport for NSW to support infrastructure and program evaluation activities. This is a Fixed Term full-time opportunity until 24/06/2025. Though the base location for the role is Macquarie Park, we offer flexible working arrangements.

The role will assist in the establishment, maintenance and analysis of key data bases such as the portfolio view of benefits realisation management and evaluation recommendations and lessons learned and the evaluation pipeline. A background in economics would be highly regarded.

**What you will be involved in**
- Mapping and documenting processes and provide project support services to provide input to the development of new/modified ways of working that support the implementation of major business and organizational change in the Division.
- Supporting the consolidation of benefits realization management insights and lessons learned to inform transport investment and outcomes for customers and other stakeholders and support the development of reporting to internal and external governance bodies. An appreciation of the role of cost benefit analysis in NSW Government decision making, could be helpful.
- Supporting the aggregation of project benefits (including economic impacts) and related performance and outcomes to provide a portfolio view of benefits realization management.
- Analyzing processes to provide reliable and accurate input to the development of new and modified systems and processes.
- Coordinating inputs from a broad range of business entities to ensure that existing and proposed processes are accurately analyzed and enable the development of effective new and revised processes.
- Preparing project timetables and calendars, develop and monitor project plans for major activities and coordinate a range of program support activities to enable the unit to deliver on its priorities.
- Undertaking projects including documenting processes, administering training and education programs and acquiring resources to support the implementation of the transition process.
- Collating, extracting and analyzing information and present this information in a variety of formats to provide input to a wide range of reports, briefs and government advice.

**About you**

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

- Appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated, relevant, equivalent professional experience.
- High level of proficiency in excel - Mandatory
- Power BI - Desirable
- Experience in Process Mapping tools.
- Excellent Relationship Building and Stakeholder Management skills.

The salary for this position is Transport Service Grade 7 ($108,770 to $ 121,822) p
