**About the Role**
We have an exciting opportunity for a Management Reporting - Team Lead. This role is the 2IC to the Finance Manager - Reporting, and will be a key member within the team, having influence in reporting for the Thales Australian business while also playing a key role in the management & performance of the team.
**Some key responsibilities of the Management Reporting Team Lead**:
- Managing and supervising the Shared Services Finance Reporting team in their month-end activities including preparation of month-end journals, cash analysis files, Monthly Actuals and Forecast Magnitude packs, Corporate and Shared Services Function and Department reports
- Managing and coordinating month-end reporting activities and workflows between teams on-shore in Australia and off-shore from our Business Process Outsourcing provider
- Ensuring all reporting deadlines are met.
- Preparing the Country Business Operational Reports (BORs) for review by the GM-Finance (Shared Services) and the CFO.
- Managing and keeping up-to-date the Thales Australia general ledger matrix structure which incorporates the different charts of accounts from the various ERP systems across the businesses within Hyperion FCCS Reporting Tool.
- Ongoing process improvement and change management processes both within the Shared Services Finance team and across other business units and functions in Thales Australia
This position will be based at our office in Sydney Olympic Park
**What you’ll bring**:
- Degree qualification in Accounting/Finance
- Post Graduate Accounting Qualifications (CA/CPA)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a financial accounting or reporting role
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage and deliver to senior level stakeholders (i.e. up to CFO level)
- Expert level in Excel
- Any software experience across software such as Magnitude, Hyperion, Anaplan or Oracle will be highly regarded
- Ability to work to deadlines including a willingness to work flexible hours if required
