The role 

The Trust Reporting Manager is responsible for all aspects of GPT Trust Reporting, the BAS process across the GPT Group, Funds and Mandates, and the Group Finance timetable. In addition you will provide assistance to the Group Reporting Manager with the statutory financial reporting for the GPT Group half year and year end.

The role has 1 direct report, the Senior Trust Accountant, who is responsible for the day to day accounting and tax compliance of the GPT Trust.

What you will be doing

  • Reviewing of monthly balance sheet reconciliations for the GPT Trust and UniSuper portfolio.
  • Reviewing of monthly GPT and UniSuper portfolio head trust accrual journal entries.
  • Preparing UniSuper monthly pay over and half yearly distribution calculations
  • Preparing UniSuper Portfolio monthly reporting packs and reviewing the quarterly report
  • Drafting accounting treatment memos.
  • Preparing Group consolidation and monthly reporting files, including review of consolidation entries.
  • Assisting with the preparation of statutory financial statements.
  • Reviewing and lodging monthly BAS and payroll tax.
  • Preparing and monitoring the Group reporting timetable.

What makes you stand out

We are seeking an experienced finance professional who is currently CA or CPA qualified. Prior accounting experience is also required, coupled with a background in the property/funds management sector. Experience with SAP and/or HFM will be held in high regard.

You will be a strong relationship builder, with excellent communication and analytical skills.

Critical to success in this role will be your ability to deliver to, and manage, tight deadlines.
