We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Reporting Specialist to join our team in Melbourne or Sydney. As a key member of our Sustainability and Corporate Affairs team, you will play a critical role in advancing our sustainability agenda and ensuring our disclosures are in line with best practice.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned reporting professional to make a real impact. You will be responsible for coordinating our sustainability reporting approach and deliverables, supporting the preparation of management, board, and external reports. Your expertise will help us enhance our Group's reputation by ensuring high-quality, consistent, transparent, and continuous improvement of our disclosure and sustainability obligations.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Manager, Company Reporting and Reputation and the General Manager, Brand and Reputation to establish a best-in-class central reporting function at APA across the Annual Report (including the Climate Report), the Sustainability Data book, the Modern Slavery Statement, and UNGC Communication on Progress
  • Develop, coordinate approvals, and manage the delivery of APA's sustainability disclosures, specifically:
    • Coordinating the data collection of the Sustainability Roadmap quarterly performance reports metrics for internal governance
    • The sustainability content of the Annual Integrated Report and Sustainability Databook
    • Coordinate the delivery of the Climate Report, UN Global Compact COP, and other reports as applicable
  • Work closely with report content owners (e.g., sustainability, climate, people safety and culture, health safety environment and heritage, finance, and operations) to collect accurate and relevant data for reporting purposes
  • Actively research, monitor, and manage ESG issues, standards, emerging trends, and legislation that could impact the business and provide strategic analysis and insights to relevant business leaders and management
About You
  • Tertiary qualification and/or relevant work experience in a related discipline
  • An experienced Reporting specialist with at least 5 years' experience in a reporting role within an ASX, large, multi-stream program environments, or supporting a multidisciplinary operational function
  • Detailed experience in leading an end-to-end sustainability reporting process including assurance processes
  • Experience in managing stakeholder relationships and working across multiple functions within an organisation
  • A strong working knowledge of and familiarity with relevant reporting standards (e.g. Global Reporting Initiatives, IFRS, etc.) and a clear understanding of sustainability issues and relevant emerging trends
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong data analytic skills with an exceptional attention to detail

We offer a competitive salary range between $100,000 - $150,000 per annum, based on your level of experience.
