**About the role**:

The Business Partnering and Workplace Relations Division is responsible for delivering business partnering services and providing specialised employee and industrial relations advice across the workforce which comprises over 22,000 employees.
As a member of the HR Business Partnering Team, the HR Business Partner will act as the focal point for people related matters for their assigned portfolio area(s) and will support these area(s) across all strategic HR and advisory services. The HR Business Partner will establish trusted and influential relationships, providing specialist information, advice, and practical support to managers. The role has a senior HR generalist focus, managing people-related activities across the employee life cycle, with a focus on early identification, intervention and resolution.
Your work will be based out of the Victoria Police Centre in Docklands, however you will be required to travel to various metropolitan and regional locations within Victoria to support clients.

**Your duties will include**:

- Providing strategic, proactive and innovative advice and support across the full spectrum of HR functions;
- Establishing a reputation for being a trusted advisor and business partner through the establishment of strong stakeholder relationships;
- Assessing and anticipating people-related needs and supporting and building the capability of managers to enhance the performance, culture and capability within their teams, through the provision of coaching;
- Identifying and analysing relevant data and analytics to support and inform decision making;
- Driving the resolution of complex people related matters.

**As the successful applicant, you will have**:

- Experience as a HR Business Partner;
- Proven record in developing and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships;
- Demonstrated experience working effectively in a large, fast paced, complex and dynamic organisational environment;
- A proactive, professional and customer focused approach with the ability to influence and negotiate effective outcomes;
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify emerging issues, trends and risks;
- Strong working knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks with contemporary knowledge of HR practices.

- This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
