Patient Accounts Administrator - Health Fund Debt Collections

Full-time, ongoing position

Cabrini Corporate Office, Hawthorn East (hybrid)

How you will make an impact:
As a Patient Accounts Administrator, you will support our busy team with debtor follow up from health funds for services provided at Cabrini. Along with delivering exceptional customer service to our patients and other external stakeholders, you will bring your previous billing/debt collection experience gained from a private hospital environment.

The role is Monday to Friday 38 hours per week.

Your day will look a little like this:
- Reviewing aged trial balances to action debts outstanding beyond agreed health funds and third-party contractual timeframes- Responding to health fund correspondence regarding claims- Ensuring clear lines of communication between the Patient Accounts Department and other Cabrini departments- Following up patients, health funds and third parties for payment- Management of patient enquiries- Ensuring a high standard of care is provided to all stakeholders

About you:
Along with a great work ethic, you will bring the following:
- Previous experience in a Private Hospital or health insurance industry - inpatient Private Hospital accommodation billing or debt follow up is highly desirable- Proven experience in reconciliation of accounts via Eclipse and manual claims- Competency with Microsoft Office Suite- Ability to learn and work effectively with in-house and external systems, such as WebPAS and other health fund and third-part portals as required- Exceptional customer service skills including professional phone manner and written communications- Ability to interpret health fund contracts and negotiate payments based on contractual facts- Ability to liaise with Health Funds, TAC, WorkCover, DVA and other Third Parties to resolve unpaid or rejected claims in line with contract terms- Knowledge of medical terminology
