A Day in the Life
An exciting opportunity awaits you to join Medtronic, recognized as a Great Place to Work in Australia. In this role as a Regional Sales Manager - Spine & Biologics, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth with this part of the Cranial and Spinal Technologies portfolio in New South Wales (NSW), as well as leading & coaching the team of Territory Managers and Clinical Specialists based across the state. This position will be based in Macquarie Park on a hybrid working arrangement with opportunity to connect with your colleagues in office, as well as out on field with your team and with your customers.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Plans, directs, and monitors the activities of a sales team within a specified region/district/geography to achieve established sales targets- Develops and/or implements business strategies for existing and potential accounts- Manages the day-to-day activities of a sales team in order to implement the organization's overall sales strategy for an assigned region/district/geography- Develops and maintains strong relationships with all key account personnel and relevant functions in order to support selling, market development, service efforts and clinical programs- Identifies opportunities and develops new programs to meet the organization's sales plans to increase market share- Assesses need for the addition of new selling programs and processes, conducts competitive analysis, and implements strategies- Coaching sales representatives and clinical specialists on the technical aspects of the organization's products and services; on marketing campaigns and sales promotions; and on sales techniques, procedures, and standards that will help them achieve their sales targets
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree is required, an Advanced degree is desirable- Minimum 5 years of relevant sales experience, with practical sales, business development and management knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics for one or more products- Advanced knowledge and skills within the sales discipline, with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization.- Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth- Leadership experience or capability in leading, managing and coaching a team- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills- Ability to build and maintain relationships with key customers and stakeholders- Is creative and adaptable with the ability to effectively coach and lead in a rapidly changing environment- Is intellectually curious and understands the responsibility of continuous learning
- Willingness to travel within the assigned region as required
