**About these Roles**

**We have 2 Fixed Term Opportunities for 12mths each**

We are looking for two experienced Communications Leads to help make sure the freight industry, local businesses and the community are aware of the no-truck zones and what this means for them.

You will have a strong track record in engaging communities and a complex mix of stakeholders to bring to this high profile, high impact project. The Leads will work closely with the Manager Communications and Engagement, Policy & Innovation and Freight Victoria program leads to plan and deliver high quality communications and engagement strategies using best practice communications and engagement skills, tools and techniques.

Applicants will have at least 3 years’ experience in planning and delivering strategic communications and engagement for large, complex projects with multiple stakeholders and community groups.

**Position Outcomes / Accountabilities**
- Effectively lead communications to deliver on the strategic communications plans of the regions. Project managing timelines, resource allocation, delivery outputs and budget.
- Communications and Engagement plans are supported by well written and appropriately selected collateral, such as letters, postcards and other public materials support engagement activities.
- Strategically supporting managers, the directorate, the broader portfolio (including alliance partners, transport operators and other transport agencies), in order to align communication strategies and activities with the overall divisional strategy.
- Be self-driven, project focused and ultimately accountable for timely, high-quality communications output.
- Comprehensive understanding of projects and programs - partnering with project teams to drive delivery while triaging and prioritising outputs.
- Development and implementation of timely communications and engagement plans.
- Evaluation - consulting with members of relevant communities ensuring effectiveness and outlining lessons learnt for future projects.

**Qualifications and Experience**

**Mandatory**
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in communications, engagement, public relations, education or a similar discipline

**Desirable**:

- Experience in planning and delivering communications and engagement programs in a public sector, major project, transport, or infrastructure.
