Community Engagement Lead

Rate: $60 per hour + super.

We are seeking an accomplished Community Engagement Lead to join a local council in Melbourne’s South East for a 2-month contract. This role is a fantastic opportunity to leverage your expertise in public sector engagement, with a particular focus on enhancing community relationships through impactful programs and digital engagement.
  
About the Role:
As the Community Engagement Lead, you will play a key role in driving council initiatives and strengthening community connections. You’ll develop and deliver targeted engagement strategies, ensuring the community’s voice is integral to council projects and programs. Proficiency in the Social Pinpoint platform will be essential to manage digital community engagement effectively.
  
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead community engagement initiatives that align with council goals and foster positive, productive relationships.
  • Design and implement engagement strategies using Social Pinpoint to collect, analyse, and act on community feedback.
  • Collaborate across council teams to ensure cohesive messaging and strategic alignment.
  • Facilitate clear, responsive communication between council and the community to enhance understanding and participation.

Essential Requirements:

  • Local Council Experience: Previous experience within local government is essential, equipping you with an understanding of the specific needs and structures within public sector engagement.
  • Social Pinpoint Expertise: Demonstrated experience with Social Pinpoint to drive effective, digital-first engagement.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a talent for building trust and transparency with community stakeholders.
