**About the Role**:
The Team Leader, Claims contributes significantly to the development and state-wide implementation of the department's policies, procedures, systems and strategies in relation to management of claims lodged pursuant to the Return to Work Act 2014 and preceding legislation. This position provides high quality verbal and written advice to a wide range of departmental personnel and external agencies based on significant knowledge of the Return to Work Act and relevant government / organisational policies and procedures.

The Team Leader, Claims also has responsibility for ensuring the provision of an effective and efficient claims management service through sound technical advice and implementation of quality assurance processes. The role is responsible for a small team of experienced claims consultants and a small portfolio of complex claims.

**Qualifications**:
**Desirable**: Appropriate tertiary qualification for injury management such as legal or health or significant working experience in a relevant field

**Special Conditions**:
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

**Remuneration**:
ASO7 $106,512 - 115,137 per annum (1.0 FTE), plus superannuation
