Our Communications team is growing, and we have an opportunity for an experienced, innovative, creative and passionate communications professional to join our team.
This newly created position will be offered on an initial 12-month fixed term contract, with the potential for extension. The position is offered as either full-time, or 0.8FTE part-time across a 4 or 5-day working week and will have the flexibility to work from home 1 day per week post induction and training.

Adelaide Primary Health Network (Adelaide PHN) is an independent, not for profit, primary health care organisation based in Adelaide.
We aim to improve the health and wellbeing of the Adelaide community by coordinating and integrating health and community services and by working in partnership to identify local needs and create strategies in response to keeping people well and out of hospital; improving their experience AND their health outcomes - to deliver on our vision of A Healthier Adelaide by 2030.
**The Role**
Reporting to the Communications Coordinator, the Communications Officer will provide a broad range of hands-on communication support and advice, including but not limited to:
- Develop, write and edit marketing and communications materials, including press releases, blog posts and social media content
- Promote communications and marketing materials through appropriate social channels
- Track analytics and create reports detailing successes and failures of communications campaigns
- Ensure that all communications and marketing material aligns with brand standards
- Maintain digital media archives, including photos and videos
- Work with communications team members to conceptualise and implement communications strategies and campaigns
- Respond to media inquiries and perform media outreach to achieve brand placement in publications
- Develop escalation protocols for managing communication crises, should they arise
**About You**
To be successful in this role you’ll need:
- 2+ years prior experience in a communications or marketing role
- Understanding of the best practices of main social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc
- Exceptional writing skills and be able to compose engaging and accurate content
- To be a strong communicator who works well independently and with a team
- Superior time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of Adobe PhotoShop, InDesign, and Illustrator is an asset
- Understanding of communications, public relations and marketing best practices
- Ability to think strategically and identify ways to improve communication efforts
- To be resourceful and take initiative even when given mínimal direction
You may have had experience in these types of positions: communications officer, marketing officer, communications assistant or support officer, digital communications officer, communications specialist, communications administrator, media, public relations and communications officer, media and communications officer, communications and engagement officer or project officer, communications advisor, communication/marketing officer, communications and corporate affairs officer, communications and events coordinator/officer, marketing and content administrator, communication and engagement assistant.
