**About the client**
Our client is currently seeking an APS5 Digital Communications Officer to join their high-performing and driven team within a Federal Government Agency based in the Adelaide CBD. This is a growing office with a professional and supportive culture focused on supporting students.

The team engages with a variety of new and existing stakeholders to promote and support the organisations message and goals.

**About the role**
This role will create compelling digital content to ensure messaging reaches key audiences and stakeholders to encourage engagement.

The Digital Communications Officer is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of digital communications plans, aligning with communications and engagement strategies. The role also actively participates in a broad range of communication tasks, events and activities to support the delivery of the Division's work.

**Key responsibilities**
- Keep up to date with current and emerging trends in relations to digital user experience
- Design, edit and publish customer-focused digital content on the department's internal and external websites
- Delivering engaging and effective digital campaigns
- Contributing to the strategic direction of content
- Support the maintenance and enhancement of the website and intranet
- Assist with monitoring, tracking and reporting on department owned digital channels with the aim of continuously improving the digital communications offering
- Deliver advice to business areas about online content strategy, accessibility requirements, industry guidelines and whole-of-government website standards

**Skills & Experience**

You will have demonstrated experience in:

- Experience with, and a strong understanding of, website and social media management
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal for online audiences.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work in a varied fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high work standards and accuracy.
- Ability to plan, execute, and deliver communication projects on time.
- Willing to undertake other ad-hoc projects, administrative and communication tasks as required or directed.
