**The Role**
The APS 5 Assistant Business Manager in the Navy Intelligence and Information Warfare Branch will be accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve business unit outcomes which cover finance, procurement, contract management, human resources, information management travel and coordination functions.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

- Completing and managing administrative duties relating to finances, procurement, contract management, travel, information management, human resources and project support functions.
- Engage effectively across the Branch.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders on policy, project or operational issues.
- Investigating and providing timely responses to tasks as required.

The Assistant Business Manager is located within the Branch Executive as part of a small team, with APS and Navy personnel. This role supports the Navy Intelligence and Information Warfare Branch in finance, procurement, information management and HR functions.

The NI&IW Branch is an exciting and cutting-edge workplace. The Branch focuses on the key inputs of people, policies and products to assist in realising its objectives. It is an exciting time to join the Branch as we strive to support next generation capabilities and new platforms out to 2030 and beyond. The Branch structure consists of around 70 personnel within nine directorates, plus the Executive team and employs an integrated workforce; consisting of mostly Navy personnel, supported by a smaller number of APS and contractor personnel.

The Assistant Business Manager is located within the Directorate Branch Operations (DBOPS), as part of a small team of APS employees, and supports the Business and Governance Manager. The DBOPS team supports the NI&IW Branch in finance, procurement, security, information management and HR functions.
