**The Role**
The Directorate of Navy Governance has a newly created APS5 Governance Communication & Coordination Officer position which is to contribute to the efficient operation and governance of the N Library program. As this role will interact and engage professionally with many diverse stakeholders, a high level of customer focus and communication skills are required.
The N Library is Navy’s knowledge repository contains Navy’s policy, doctrine, frameworks, systems of management, orders, processes, instructions and procedures that facilitate the achievement of the Navy Mission. The APS5 Governance Communication & Coord Officer will support the maintenance, updating and facilitation of access to this knowledge.
As the APS5 Governance Communications and Coordination Officer, you are a trusted and highly valued member of the team, responsible for facilitating the smooth running of the section. You provide the key interface between the N Library and internal and external stakeholders.
The APS5 Governance Communications & Coordination Officer will need to demonstrate an ability to undertake the following duties:
- Develop N Library communications products, including, training packages, presentations, input into DEFGRAMS and messages.
- Manage the N Library DPN SharePoint (intranet site) pages and assist with management of the N Library DSN SharePoint site.
- Coordinate and administer all N Library stakeholder engagement activities, including quarterly Sub-Library Manager Meetings.
- Coordinate and administer N Library governance papers for the Navy Synchronisation Steering Group and the conduct of the N Library Working Group meetings.
- Maintain and audit the N Library integrated reporting tool until such time as the functionality is replaced by IBSS.
- Perform Objective Work Group Co-ordinator functions.
**About our Team**
Working to the Director Navy Governance, you are part of the team that is embedded in a dynamic environment, supporting Navy Outcome 5. You will be part of the Navy Governance team which currently consists of a blended workforce of ADF, APS and Contractors. The key part of your role will be working with the Navy Library which supports Navy’s Leadership, Governance and Operational Outcomes. It is the online repository for guides, manuals, policy, doctrine, process and other supporting documentation required by Navy.

- Have strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with key stakeholders.
- Well-developed judgement, problem solving skills and initiative.
- A high degree of self-motivation and a positive attitude to change.
- Be highly organised, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines
- Proven competence with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe, and
- Ability to handle sensitive information in accordance with government security requirements.
