**The Role**
**APS 6 Education Manager** will lead a small team that is responsible for the delivery of education programs to the Office of the Defence Seaworthiness Regulator (ODSwR) and the Defence maritime community. They achieve this by assessing education requirements and designing education approaches to ensure that appropriate training and development opportunities are available. The Education Manager will also be designing education plans, developing educational content, scheduling and facilitating training as well as engaging with internal and external learning and development professionals.
**APS 6 Advice and Engagement Manager** leads a small team to coordinate information, develop methods of engagement and determine escalation procedures for the Office of the Defence Seaworthiness Regulator (ODSwR). They are responsible for managing and coordinating responses to enquiries from internal and external stakeholders to enable ODSwR to manage the strategic purpose of the office. Working closely with the Communication and Education Manager within the Advice, Communication and Education Directorate the Advice and Engagement Manager will be supporting and leading various activities to achieve directorate outcomes.
**APS 5 Education Officer** supports an ongoing education program for the Office of the Defence Seaworthiness Regulator (ODSwR). This position is within the education team and contributes to the Office by determining the required seaworthiness education outcomes in terms of skills and knowledge required for both ODSwR and for the Regulated community. The Education Officer will be responsible for contributing to the planning and design of education information including supporting efforts to design education plans, schedule and also facilitate training for both internal and external personnel.
**APS 4 Administration Officer** will be a critical member of the Office of the Defence Seaworthiness Regulator (ODSwR) in the Advice, Communication and Education team. They will support their team by coordinating and actioning administrative taskings including enquiries and workflows. This position will be responsible for maintaining general administrative processes and standard operational procedures, well as managing and coordinating administrative support across the Office.

The Office of the Defence Seaworthiness Regulator (ODSwR) is an independent Defence Regulator.
The ODSwR is tasked with managing the Defence Seaworthiness Management System (DSwMS), a Defence-wide maritime risk management system.
It does this through:
- Scanning the maritime environment and advocating on behalf of Defence
- Providing a regulatory framework to manage maritime risks
- Assuring maritime risks are proactively considered and controlled
- Monitoring trends across the Defence Enterprise
- Providing support to the Defence maritime community through education and advice.
