**The Role**
As a Risk and Compliance Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our organisation's risk and compliance efforts and driving continuous improvement. Working closely with leaders across the organisation, you will ensure that our risk management and compliance frameworks are not only maintained but constantly refined and enhanced.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- ** Risk Assessment**: Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to assess and analyze risks that the organization may face. This involves conducting thorough risk assessments, identifying potential vulnerabilities, and evaluating the impact of these risks on our operations.
- ** Risk Reporting and Register Maintenance**: Develop and maintain an effective risk reporting framework, which involves documenting identified risks, their potential consequences, and their likelihood. You'll create comprehensive risk reports that provide valuable insights to inform decision-making at all levels of the organisation.
- ** Risk Mitigation**: Collaborate with relevant teams to develop strategies for mitigating identified risks. This might involve implementing risk-reduction measures, creating risk mitigation plans, and monitoring progress towards risk reduction goals.
- ** Compliance**: Management and maintaining the compliance framework and calendar to ensure the organisation aligns with all regulatory, legal, reporting and training obligations and industry best practice.
- Liaise with external agencies and regulators during compliance reviews and audits.
- Collaborate with business areas to respond to and address complaints within required timeframes.
**Your Skills & Experience**
- Experience spanning at least 3 years in a similar Risk and Compliance role.
- Strong understanding of regulatory and legal requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to liaise effectively with external agencies and regulators.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills.
- A proactive and can-do attitude, coupled with a willingness to learn and grow within a professional finance team.
