**About us**

Corrective Services NSW runs the state’s correctional centres, supervises offenders in the community, and delivers programs to reduce reoffending, support reintegration and build safer communities.

**About the Role**

You will be responsible for interventions that are directly targeted at reducing re-offending and for ensuring a proper duty of care in terms of the well-being of all our offenders.

In this role, you will provide services, such as assessment, and the facilitation of group based accredited or approved programs to offenders.

You’ll also assist with individual crisis and fundamental support interventions for offenders, release planning, including referrals to community-based agencies such as community housing and rehabilitative centres as required.

This opportunity is for those who are truly passionate about making an impact upon offenders by transforming their lives through intervention and guidance.

**About You**
- A positive minded individual who is resilient by nature and able to effectively build positive relationships within a multidisciplinary team environment
- A current NSW Driver License with the ability and willingness to travel throughout NSW is essential, along with some professional experience in working with individuals who display challenging behaviours. (Experience in mental health and conducting group therapy is highly desirable)
- Current Certificate IV in Correctional Practice with the necessary Units of Competency for this role (or equivalent proven experience) or capacity to complete Certificate IV in Correctional Practice in accordance with specified CSNSW timeframes is essential.
