commUnity+ is a multidisciplinary organisation located in Melbourne’s western suburbs, delivering a range of prevention and early intervention programs focused on informing and engaging with our community. This is achieved via Adult Education, Legal Services (Brimbank Melton Community Legal Centre), our Neighbourhood House, and Children’s Contact Services, as well as a range of community and individual development activities.

The commUnity+ Children’s Contact Service (CCS) provides safe, neutral, onsite facilitated changeovers and supervised visits for children and their separated parents. The neutrality and child
- centric focus of the program enables the children to maintain a meaningful relationship with the parent whom they do not live with.
About the position
Reporting to the Manager, Children’s Contact Service The administration Officer CCS will ensure the efficient and effective functioning of commUnity+ through the provision of high quality customer service to clients and community members. The administration Officer provides administrative support to the Children’s Contact Service (CCS), management and staff, and adhere to office, client management and professional practice standards.
The location of this role is negotiable between our Deer Park, Brunswick West and Glenroy sites, however the role requires attendance at all locations from time to time. This is a fixed term contract, on a part time basis averaging of 22.8 hours per week.
Key Selection Criteria

Certificate III or higher qualification in a relevant discipline with experience in office administration in a community organisation or legal Context.

Demonstrated ability to handle private and sensitive client information in a confidential and appropriate manner.
Demonstrated ability to provide a high standard of customer service to members of the community, clients, internal and external stakeholders and other agencies.
Well developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive communications and clients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
Well developed organisational and administrative skills including the ability to take accurate client information, maintain electronic client records and use a range of office IT packages.

Proven ability and commitment to working in a team environment.
