**Your role**

The Monitoring and Auditing Officer role supports Corrective Services NSW by coordinating education programs and services to inmates in NSW Government operated Correctional Centres. The role will require you to Coordinates education programs and services to inmates in NSW Government operated correctional centres in accordance with departmental policies, contract specifications and regulatory standards to contribute to the reduction of re-offending and increased community safety. This role relies on actively monitoring and accurately recording of information maintaining administrative duties relating to vocational training and traineeship.

The Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) is the lead agency under the Stronger Communities Cluster. The Education team within DCJ supports people to overcome prejudice, through vocational training and traineeship to increase their potential to have employment while settling back in the community. This team contributes to the Premiers Priority of reducing reoffending by providing education and training relevant to the employment undertaken in custody.

**What you’ll do**

The Monitoring and Auditing Officer will be responsible for ensuring there has been an appropriate delivery of education and vocational training programs for offenders by working together with internal and external stakeholders. You will also be providing evidence based advice and reports to Senior Management to ensure business impacts are considered.

The role is also responsible for undertaking regular monitoring and audit activities to ensure for compliance purposes.
