Disability Services Officer

A disability services officer ‘works in a range of service units which provide education and community access to people with intellectual, physical, social and emotional disabilities’.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide direct support and care to individuals with disabilities
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
- Implement individualized care plans and support goals
- Foster a safe and supportive environment for individuals with disabilities
- Encourage and promote independence and community integration
- Document and maintain accurate records of services provided
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the well-being of individuals

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Empathy and compassion for individuals with disabilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing needs and situations
- Knowledge of disability rights, policies, and procedures
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
Pay: $70,000.00 - $91,964.21 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
