Geelong, Australia Core Autism & Disability Services Full time

Core Autism & Disability Services work with clients aged 2 to 25 years. At Core our mission is to create a safe place for young people to connect with likeminded peers, build relationships, independence and embrace their authentic self. We do this by selecting support staff that fit the brief you supply and by meeting and getting to know them in person.

**Duties/responsibilities**
- Disability support workers help with clients’ independence and quality of life. They work in clients’ homes and provide both physical assistance and emotional support.
- Assisting people to perform important daily activities.
- Facilitating daily personal hygiene and dressing tasks.
- Performing home based tasks such as food preparation and housework.
- Undertaking tasks outside the home such as shopping.
- Providing transportation to varied programs such as social activities and therapeutic appointments.
- Providing emotional support and friendship.
- Providing clients with life skills education.
- Working with clients and their families in the most effective way possible, to provide the client and their families with positive support and to meet their desired outcomes.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed case notes and completing shift care requirements.
- Attending scheduled meetings and training courses with colleagues.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $28.95 - $38.08 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 30 per week
