**About the Role**

Training settings, such as hospitals, must be accredited to coordinate and deliver work-based training for our training programs. The primary purpose of this role is to provide leadership, strategic input and operational management of accreditation of training programs in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. This role is also responsible for implementing policies and procedures and supporting continuous improvement activities. Key responsibilities include:
To manage the day-to-day operations and provide strategic input in relation to:

- Planning and managing the work of the Basic Training and Advanced Training accreditation teams across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand to ensure a streamlined and consistent approach to service delivery and advice to trainees, Directors of Physician/Paediatric Education, supervisors, training settings, Fellows and College education and training committees;
- The respective accreditation schedules for each training program to ensure coordination across Training Accreditation Services, ELA and the broader College as appropriate;
- Leading and managing efficient and effective performance across the team, including performance management, recruitment and staff development to ensure delivery of high-quality services to stakeholders
- Collaborating with the College Legal Counsel and senior management to manage and resolve complex accreditation matters;
- Creating and fostering a culture of continuous improvement both within internal processes and as a demonstrable output of accreditation processes;
- Developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships with external bodies such as other medical colleges to facilitate processes to improve training quality;
- Managing projects as required in line with the College Project Management Framework;
- Identifying, managing and where appropriate escalating risks within the College risk management framework;

- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or demonstrated equivalent experience, knowledge and skills
- Senior level operational management experience in a postgraduate education, health or similar environment
- Demonstrated experience in an accreditation, compliance or regulatory function
- Demonstrated skills in effective relationship management and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- High-level written and oral communication skills, including negotiation skills and policy/process documentation
- Experience in leading large programs of change
- Demonstrated people leadership skills and staff development
