An opportunity has become available to join Alstom at one of our key service/maintenance depots, the **Wulkuraka Maintenance Facility (WMF)**. The team at the WMF play a critical role in ensuring the **New Generation Rollingstock (NGR)** fleet is maintained and operating to the highest standard for South East QLD.

Joining the team as a **Risk Management Coordinator**, you will provide support to help with management of the project safety system, where gaps have been identified in Safe Work Method Statements and Job safety Analysis. This role will be a 12 month fixed term contract initially, with the potential to extend and become permanent. Your responsibilities will include;
- Checking current available Work Instructions (WI) and SWMS/JSAs for the project.
- Conducting gap analysis required on the current available WI, SWMS/JSAs to get an understanding of the tasks and to decide if the task is still the same or additional steps have been added to the task and if a risk assessment is required.
- Auditing the current SWMS/JSAs for each task to ensure the SWMS/JSA's are relevant to that task.
- Updating current SWMS/JSAs and develop new SWMS/JSAs as required.
- Training employees on new processing and procedures.
- Conducting Toolbox meetings as required.

**About You**

We are seeking an experienced Safety professional with a demonstrated ability to build effective relationships and provide critical safety guidance and support to the business. You will also have;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience developing and implementing SWMS/JSAs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office required.
- Proficiency in Risk Management.
- Ability to train employees in new processes and procedures.
- Exposure to Rail and construction is preferred but not essential.
