**The Opportunity**

An opportunity has become available to join Alstom at one of our key service/maintenance depots, the Wulkuraka Maintenance Facility (WMF). The team at the WMF play a critical role in ensuring the New Generation Rollingstock (NGR) fleet is maintained and operating to the highest standard for South East QLD.

Joining the team as an EHS Advisor, you will provide assistance in the management of business EHS risks and engage personnel at all levels in fostering a high performance Environment, Health, Safety and Rail Safety culture. You will play an integral role in supporting construction and upgrade works that are due to commence at the site in the near future.

Your responsibilities will include;
- Developing and implementing assurance programs for the upcoming construction works.
- Interfacing with contractors and managing site inductions.
- Performing risk assessments for construction works.
- Maintaining the EHS management plans for the Project.
- Undertaking independent project systems audits and develop and monitor safety performance indicators.
- Ensuring consultation & communication activities are being undertaken on the project.
- Supporting key safety governance committees as required including the Project Safety Leadership Team.
- Participate in the Alstom EHS & Rail Safety audit and accreditation program, including AS4801/ISO45001 14001 accredited EHS management system.
- EHS Risk Management - Participate in the development of Project Risk Register.
- Safety Governance of high-risk work for the Alstom Zero Deviation Policy by conducting Self Assessments.
- Delivering training packages for key safety management procedures or specific training required due to the introduction of new procedures, policies and standards.
- Incident Reporting and Investigation.

**About You**

We are seeking an experienced Safety professional with a demonstrated ability to build effective relationships, and provide critical guidance and support to the operation. You will also have;
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience in a similar role, supporting construction projects.
- A sound understanding of pre-qualification framework.
- Tertiary qualifications in WHS.
- Construction Induction White Card.
- Rail Industry Worker Card (preferred).
