**The Role**
An APS 4 Information and Records Management Officer will be accountable for organising their workflow, making decisions within their defined parameters relating to area of responsibility and will seek guidance when required. They may exercise some discretion with respect to how legislation, procedures and guidelines are interpreted and applied to their work. They will provide administrative support that is informed and directed by their knowledge of the information function. They may undertake some research and analysis activities.
The APS 4 Information and Records Management Officer may be required to communicate with, respond and provide advice to a range of stakeholders on moderately complex operational and administrative issues to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes. They will be accountable to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development
**About our Team**
Maritime Support Branch (MARSPT) delivers Cross Class, Integrated, Through Life Maritime support in order to enable the delivery of Maritime Sustainment, and contribute to Navy’s mission to prepare Naval Power in order to enable the joint force in peace and war. The Maritime Support Program Office bolsters the MARSPT Branch to deliver through life support across Maritime Domain by assisting DGMARSPT to manage the resourcing, integration and delivery of Branch Projects, products, and services.
The workforce is an integrated team of APS, Navy, and Contractors working alongside our industry partners. The Branch is dispersed across Canberra, Sydney, Rockingham and Philadelphia, with DGMARSPT located at Defence Plaza - Sydney. The Branch is comprised of a Program Office, three Directorates, and one System Program Office.
