**Information Technology and Records Officer**

**6 month - Non ongoing (with opportunity to extend)**

**Why this role matters**

The Information Technology and Records Management Officer supports the Agency’s business technology and provides stewardship over the Agency’s digital records and information

**You are someone who can**:

- work proactively and collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure coordination and quality outcomes for all facets of the Agency’s digital systems and technical support service delivery.
- provide expert technology support for WGEA’s business operations and on site, flexible and remote working support
- troubleshoot technical issues, with support to resolution and/or escalation to external support organisations as required.
- coordinate WGEA’s information and records management systems, specifically managing metadata across digital information assets and supporting staff in the ongoing enhancement of the Agency’s SharePoint rollout.
- monitor the Agency’s outsourced data security management, ensuring adequate coverage and response of the Agency’s network, infrastructure and data to threat events;
- provide guidance and training to staff on key technology areas such as ICT policy, security, information and records management, and general systems usage; including supporting the technical onboarding of new employees;
- document IT information, assets, processes and maintain an IT knowledge library;
We are seeking an individual with the following **minimum requirements** and experience:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills involving complex information, particularly within a legislative framework.
- Excellent time-management skills, with a demonstrated ability to work pro-actively in a team environment, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage information assets and data.
- Ability to provide one on one and group training, develop training content and evaluate user capability.
- Effective interpersonal skills, with an ability to communicate information clearly, concisely and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
- Baseline Security Clearance or the ability to obtain clearance (this includes being an Australian Citizen).
