As a result of ansuccessful internal movements (we’re big on these at McCain), we are currently on the lookout for a Technical Packing Specialist ANZ to join our Technical Services team based at our Ballarat site.

**About the Role**

You will have accountability for providing technical direction and leading technical initiatives for the network of plants within Australia and New Zealand. This involves, evaluating, developing, improving and documenting the manufacturing and packing processes to meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations.
- Playing a leadership role in the Production Management group and responsible for overseeing implementation and sustainment of all continuous improvement activities
- Guide and assist the manufacturing & supply chain stakeholders with creating opportunities to reduce operational cost
- Lead/participate in project teams to improve process and plant and implement new initiatives
- Review developing technologies, both equipment and processing and understanding their worth for new or improved production processes for existing or new products.
- Advise on capital projects from budgeting to commissioning process on new equipment purchases.
- Monitor factory performance in relation to equipment condition, Total Produced Cost (Line rate, downtime, efficiencies, etc.) and running ‘line study’ programs

**About You**
- Experience in Manufacturing, Maintenance, R&D, Technical Services or Packaging ideally with supervisory experience
- Sound knowledge of Manufacturing Processes, Safety, Quality (HACCP, GMP), Quality Management Systems and Environmental Management Systems
- Learning agility to understand (and when required create/update) documentation in systems
- Team player approach with good organisational, people and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work on a variety of unconnected projects with a result focus orientation, a logical thinker and good problem solving skills.
