**About NOPTA**:
This position is located in the Compliance, Assurance and Performance (CAP) team of the National Offshore Petroleum Titles Administrator (NOPTA) and the Offshore Infrastructure Registrar (the Registrar). NOPTA is responsible the administration and regulation of offshore titles in Commonwealth waters relevant to the petroleum, greenhouse gas and offshore renewable energy industries.
NOPTA performs administrative and regulatory functions under the _Offshore Petroleum and Greenhouse Gas Storage Act 2006 _and the _Offshore Electricity Infrastructure Act 2021 _. NOPTA staff provide a range of services to support the functions and duties of the Titles Administrator and Registrar.
**About the team**:
The CAP team provides support across all NOPTA’s teams and is responsible for:
- Maintenance, development, and implementation of our Quality Assurance Program (QAP).
- Managing NOPTA and the Registrar’s compliance and enforcement policy and associated compliance monitoring tools.
- Preparation and publication of the NOPTA and the Registrar’s Annual Reports.
- Managing the branch strategic plan, engagement plan and associated progress reporting.
- Reporting for NOPTA and the Registrar’s regulatory performance framework.
- Liaising with the department’s internal audit and other branches in relation to regular and _ad hoc _reviews, including the 5-yearly operational review (OPGGS S695P).
- Planning and managing NOPTA’s stakeholder engagement.
- Overseeing and planning projects and activities as directed by the Titles Administrator or Registrar.
- Coordinating departmental requests for NOPTA.

**What you will do**:
You will support the team manager to ensure NOPTA and the Registrar meet their legislative and corporate obligations, including but not limited to the following key responsibilities:
- Coordination of internal and external events, including management and/or oversight of logistics, such as budgets, sourcing, bookings, procurement etc.
- Perform duties on behalf of the General Manager, including general administrative functions, coordinating domestic and international travel, and arranging meetings.
- As the primary contact for external and departmental stakeholders, coordinate NOPTA’s input into departmental and other requests for information and action.
- Assist the Quality Assurance Committee with secretariat services and perform assurance functions as required.
