Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Community Outreach Coordinator to join our team in Melbourne. As a key member of our Directorate of Regional Engagement, you will be responsible for engaging with Defence families, stakeholders, and the wider community to promote networking and provide support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement innovative outreach strategies to engage with Defence families and promote our programs and services.
  • Organize and facilitate social functions to foster connections among Defence families and the wider community.
  • Collaborate with local service providers to ensure Defence families have access to necessary resources and services.
  • Work closely with our team to develop and deliver programs that meet the needs of Defence families.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and build strong relationships with Defence families, stakeholders, and community members.

About the Role

This is a full-time position based in Melbourne, VIC, with occasional travel across the Victoria/Tasmania region. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and demonstrate a strong understanding of confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Degree in Social Work, Community Development, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in community outreach, engagement, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong knowledge of local community resources and services.
