The school is based in Ballarat, a regional city in the heart of Victoria, just over an hour's drive from Melbourne. Across three campuses students attend the school from 3-year-ole Early Learning to Year 12. Ballarat Clarendon College is an equal opportunity employer.
**The Role**
We are looking for a senior, experienced and passionate professional to lead our School Support Services function.
This is a great opportunity to play an important role in maintaining centralised and efficient support services for Clarendon. Reporting into the Chief Operations Officer, you will provide a mix of operational and strategic support to the broader business consisting of approximately 390 members.
A key focus of the role is to leverage technological solutions and support the strategic plan to maximise process improvements.
You will foster a continuous improvement culture to create and drive efficiencies, smooth processes and innovation, collaborating across the broader business.
You will work with colleagues who are experts in their fields and be provided with professional development opportunities.
Leading a large team and providing guidance on a day-to-day basis is a key skill that requires excellent time management and resource allocation. Coordinating and developing training for new staff and undertaking staff appraisals is important for our staff development.
**About You**
Demonstrated experience in the identification of opportunities to improve current systems and processes in line with Clarendon's digital roadmap and a degree in Business Administration or similar.
Meticulous attention to detail and ability to organise workload, determine priorities, manage competing deadlines and cope with high volumes of work. We need you to get things done.
Significant experience in partnering with the business to provide a sophisticated support services function. Ideally you have worked in a well-established and high performing administrative support service environment and can contribute to a team where high expectations and a ‘can do' attitude is the norm.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence across the organisation.
Ability to quickly develop excellent business relationships, using tact, diplomacy and discretion when dealing with school matters.
Able to manage workflow through a bespoke Job Request system, mapping annual workflows and establishing an accurate forecast of resources required.
Adhere to Governance, including compliance with policies, procedures and processes.
